Security forces eliminate multiple terrorists in KP’s Lakki Marwat operation: ISPR

Pakistani security forces successfully carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating at least 17 terrorists reportedly backed by India, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing stated that the operation was launched after confirmed intelligence regarding terrorist hideouts in the area. During the exchange of fire, 17 militants were neutralized, while a large cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered.

ISPR further highlighted that these terrorists were actively involved in targeting security forces and planning attacks against civilians in the region. “The successful clearance operation demonstrates the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring peace across Pakistan,” the statement read.

Local sources reported that the area has now been secured, and a detailed clearance process is underway to eliminate any remaining threats. The operation is considered a major success in Pakistan’s ongoing fight against cross-border terrorism.
