Security forces kill 17 ‘India-sponsored’ terrorists in KP’s Lakki Marwat: ISPR

Pakistan’s security forces neutralized 17 India-sponsored terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the ISPR confirmed, marking a major success in the ongoing fight against cross-border terrorism.

News Report

Lakki Marwat (Monitoring Desk) – Pakistan’s security forces successfully carried out a major intelligence-based operation in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing at least 17 terrorists allegedly sponsored by India, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.

The operation was launched after credible intelligence reports suggested the presence of heavily armed militants in the region. During the exchange of fire, 17 terrorists were eliminated, while a cache of sophisticated weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered from their possession.

The ISPR emphasized that the terrorists were directly linked to India’s hostile intelligence agencies and had been involved in numerous attacks targeting security forces, law enforcement personnel, and civilians in the area. These elements were also responsible for disrupting peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through cross-border support and financing.

“Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully committed to rooting out the menace of terrorism from the country and are resolute in defending the nation against any aggression,” the military’s media wing reiterated.

Officials further stated that such operations will continue until complete peace is restored in every corner of the country. The local population also extended support to the security forces and expressed confidence in their efforts to eliminate terrorism.

This development comes at a time when Pakistan has repeatedly accused India of backing terror networks in the region to destabilize peace. The latest operation in Lakki Marwat is being seen as a significant blow to such networks.
